You can have the center of the Bullit wheels honed out to fit over the Ranger hubs. All this does is take out the ridge that the center cap snaps onto and does not weaken the wheel. You won't be able to use the Bullitt center caps. In the past I've made center caps that fasten to the wheel with set ...

The VSS used in the 4R70W is the exact same unit used in the '90 Mustangs with cruise control. If you pry the little cap out of the end of the 4R70W speed sensor, a speedometer cable will slip right in.

In 1990 the 454 SS pickup was rated at 230hp and 385tq. In '91 it went to 255hp and 405tq.

But if I was going to entertain the idea of a BB, I'm afraid I'd have to go with an BBC 454 block worked up to a 502 like what the 502SS Chevy trucks had in them. They were made and sold right up into the 90s (not sure if they still are or not). You mean the SS454 pickups? I don't think the factory...

Here's one that's being built. He's got enough pictures you can see everything that needs to be done. He also had the 460 bored and stroked to 545 cid.

I actually planned for my Ranger project to grow in stages. The first stage was to get the 4.6 in the Ranger and make it a dependable driver that could be taken to the drag strip on the weekends. Now that all those goals have been reached it's on to the next stage. Stage two is to strip the Ranger d...

That auction isn't for a nitrous kit, it's only for the upgrade kit. You have to have the basic kit first.

Now, if you need a 05115NOS kit (EFI 5.0 Mustang) I happen to know someone that has one with a new bottle and guage that they would sell pretty cheap.

Comgrats on the success. Feels good, doesn't it? Don't feel bad about having to fix wiring errors. Wiring has to be the hardest part of most any EFI swap. I spent half a day trouble shooting mine on the first startup. Found I had forgot to tighten the bolt that connects the engine harness to the res...

The timing light I have was bought by my grandfather in 1957 (I still have the receipt). No clip, it plugs in between the plug and the wire, and it runs on 110v. I've had a few other timing lights that all went to crap, but this 51 year old Wards timing light has never failed me.

Tip: Find the timing mark on the balancer and trace over it with a piece of white chalk. Makes it ALOT easier to see when you're setting the timing.

Post your Ranger racing vids and pics here

Have you had you Ranger to a racing event? Let's see your vids and action pics. This is my Ranger at Rock Falls Raceway last summer. It was a test-n-tune day and I had the Ranger there for the initial shake-down after the engine swap. It was only a low 14 sec run but it was also the 18th run of the ...

If you need a little more grip in the traction-lock you can restack the clutch packs to 4 clutch discs per side. You can also replace the "S" spring with one from an F-150.
