Re: New Toy

Chris
Late Model Restoration (fox mustang parts) out of Texas sells the R12 to 134A complete kit from them.

I am in Atlanta several days this week for work so I thought I might go by and check them out.

New Toy

I picked up a 1986 Mustang GT convertible about a year ago. New top reupholstered the seats(TMI) M&M subframe connectors and strut tower brace. Old man is having a lot of fun. CGrey do you know anything about Hose Wizards in Grayson GA.? They make a 134a AC kit for fox mustangs? I still have my ...

Flu shot Warning

Hey guys I know this is not an automotive post but please get your flu shot. I just lost my 32 year old son-in-law. He had 2 children under two years old ( one is adopted) and a 26 year old wife,my daughter. His flu turned into pneumonia and he spent his last 14 days on a respirator. He was in was i...

Re: haudraulic slave kit... all in one ....

There is a nut between the rocker fulcrum ( not visible) and the slave cylinder. The spring keeps tension on clutch arm against the fulcrum..
The nut shown on the end away from the slave cylinder is just a safety it does not touch the clutch arm.

Re: haudraulic slave kit... all in one ....

Here are the pictures of mine from about 6 plus years ago I used the threaded rod with valve rocker arm fulcrum on side that actually contacts the clutch arm Adjusted the preload once and worked great. 280Z slave was about $15 at AutoZone and if I remember a 1 1/2 x 1 1/2 angle. http://i535.photobuc...

Re: 351 Tri Y headers

Chris I like the 351 for the displacement increase. I know you went the stroker route but I think the 351 would be cheaper even with the mods required. If I do the 302 I would do the rebuild with nice heads, cam and tuning,ie, typical bolt ons. I want a good driver. Even have thought about superchar...

351 Tri Y headers

I think this has been asked before but will the tri y headers for 302 fit 351 windsor with T-5. My 302 has been in my Ranger for over 10 years and I am wanting to update. I have a 95 GT engine complete with computer and harness. I know this is not he best engine to start from but but it is still bet...

Re: Help with build list (v8 pulleys + accessories)

Sorry if I missed it but what year is your Ranger? My 87 had two pumps one in tank (low pressure ) and one in the frame rail ( high pressure). I used the regulator for a few years but the pressure was constantly requiring adjustment so I removed the high pressure pump and just use the in tank low pr...

Re: Dragon tail Ride

It is a lot of fun, 318 curves in 11miles. I had not been on it in about 2 years as it can get very crowded. The route back was the Cherohala Skyway,36 miles with nice sweeping turns. . Elevation goes from 2660 to about 5400. http://i535.photobucket.com/albums/ee353/hannahspa/Capture2_zpsf237bf5c.png

Re: seats re-upholstery

Yeah I like the old school look too. If you notice I removed the headrest that really makes the seats look older.

The good part is the fox body seats bolt on to stock seat tracks and the upholstery for these seats are fairly easy to install.

I need to work on the dash now. Ugly fake wood trim.

Re: Mechanical fuel pump?

If it has the two electric pumps ,one in tank(low pressure) and the one mounted on frame ( high pressure) you can remove the frame pump and the tank pump will work for carb. My (1987) has been like this for several years.
